Contract Positions

Let Infopeople help you to find your next IT contract

Infopeople excels in the provision of the most challenging and lucrative contract assignments. Contracts are available across the technical spectrum and at all levels.

We believe Infopeople is the best choice for anyone considering moving to contracting, not just because of our excellent client list and resources, but also because we take a partnership approach with our clients and contractors alike. This means that we work closely with all parties to find an assignment that is just right for your individual needs. Please feel free to use the information in this section of our web site to help you plan your IT career, sell yourself and maximise your returns.

We have plenty of positions available, updated as you browse. So if you're looking for your next contract position, please use the Job Search facilities on this web site regularly. Better still, contact our recruitment consultants, and make yourself known to us. Then we can keep you in mind as opportunities arise. Many choice contract opportunities never make it on to our web site as we simply fill them using contractors already registered with us.

A Suitable Assignment

Once you've registered with us and been interviewed by us, your CV is input into our search and selection database. We can then ensure that we match the best opportunities to your skills. Our consultants are dedicated to finding the right contracts with the right clients. These include some of the largest and most exciting organisations, across a variety of industry sectors. If you have a preference for a particular sector, such as banking, please let us know and we will do our utmost to accommodate your wishes.

As contract vacancies are found, they are put through a process that identifies suitable candidates within our database. This process includes complete free-format searching within your entire CV. For this reason it is important that your CV contains all aspects of your experience.

Then we contact you. At Infopeople, we follow a golden rule:

WE WILL NEVER SEND
YOUR CV OUT TO A CLIENT
WITHOUT YOUR PRIOR APPROVAL

Discussing the Vacancy

We will contact you about every potential assignment, explaining all aspects of the vacancy to you. If, after this discussion, we feel that you are suitable for the vacancy and you are interested in it, we will forward your CV to the client. Generally, we will call you to discuss a vacancy within minutes of receiving it. Once we have forwarded your CV to the client, we will continue to pursue your application until a decision has been made. We will always endeavour to advise you of the client's decision in a timely and efficient manner.

Once an assignment has been approved by both you and our client, you will need a contract. Your contract and the accompanying confirmation letter should include all of the following:

  • A clear statement of fees payable, with expenses included if applicable. Infopeople will be happy to advise on market rates for specific skills.
  • A clear schedule specifying if and when overtime will be paid.
  • Payment procedures subsequent to receipt of an invoice/timesheet.
  • A clear statement of contract duration with provision for possible extension.

Infopeople have a standard contract under which you work for us, which we are happy to supply.
