Covering Letters
Tailor your application with a great covering letter
One benefit of applying through Infopeople is that you don’t
need to write a covering letter. However, when sending a CV direct
to a company you should always include one. It should further
personalise your application to the specific company by:
- Stating the position you are applying for and where you found
out about it
- Explaining your interest in the position, the company and the
industry
- Highlighting your relevant skills and experience which make
you suitable for the job
- Addressing any requirements stated in the job application
- Stating when you are available for interview
As with your CV, keep it concise, easy to read, grammatically
correct and check for spelling mistakes.
